We start every learner's Academic Coaches journey with a non-academic Learning Skills Assessment to understand how their Foundational Information Processing Skills affect their academic, sport and life performance.
This information guides your Coach during your coaching sessions as it pinpoints your unique strengths and weaknesses.

Foundational information processing skills play a crucial role in every child's learning journey.
These are the brain skills that enable your child to learn, read, problem solve, think on their feet, do math, follow instructions, pay attention and stay focused.
These skills are the building blocks for success in academics and beyond!
By determining your child's unique Strengths and Weaknesses Profile, we can ensure that their coaching is tailor-made for their specific strengths, weaknesses and learning needs.
That's why your child's journey at Academic Coaches should start off with a Learning Skills Assessment to provide us with the baseline information we require to best assist them.

The assessment report is designed to easily understand your child’s current learning abilities and are normed and compared to children the same age and gender.
​HOW DOES IT WORK?
The assessment takes about 45 - 60 minutes to complete, can be done in-centre (at one of our centres in Pretoria East or Johannesburg) or easily online at home from where ever you are in the country, and is available in English and Afrikaans.​

Whether you're simply curious to know your child's Learning Skills profile, or would like to pinpoint which skills are strong and which weak so they can be strengthened, the assessment is always the right place to start.

The assessment is suitable for learners age 7 years and older, and can be completed in English or Afrikaans.
Assessments should preferably be completed in the morning or early afternoon when your child is at his/her best and can be scheduled over a weekend if weekday mornings are too busy.
ASSESSMENT FEE
The cost of an assessment is R2,500 and includes a feedback consultation as well as a copy of the assessment report.
(When no other discount is applicable, receive 5% discount when 2 or more family members schedule an assessment together.)
